I can't complain all that much about this set because Legos are generally awesome but, I am very annoyed about the proportion of blocks that are small. You need 2-3 more sets to have enough large blocks to make a decent size building structure. There are SO MANY teeny little pieces like eyes and small circles that fit over one the nodules of the square blocks that it is very limiting. I think this is a problem with all the Lego sets, but they sort of have a captive audience. If you want Legos, you have to deal with the lack of 2x2, 2x3 and 2X4 blocks.EDIT - Just as I posted this review, I went out to the mall and found a Lego store. In the store, you can buy a bucket a select the size and color of Legos you want. For ~$17 tax included, I got a large amount of 2x2, 2x3 and 2X4. I could have fit some smaller ones in there too if I was so inclined. If I had to do this purchase again, I would just buy a few a la carte buckets.
